I’m a little O/T (in terms of poker and gambling) with this post but I’m really rather fed up of the junk that’s killing social media sites right now. In particular Facebook! I discovered Facebook in 2007 and was baffled by it at first. What possible use could it be? After a few months it became very useful for catching up with old friends and communicating freely with existing ones.
Back “in those days” the site had a few applications and the ones it did have were generally entertaining or interesting to use. Now the place is infested with “What type of crayon are you?” and “What is your favourite colour” application bollocks!
I’m shocked at how many of the people I am friends with on Facebook use these things on a regular basis. Firstly, they will never tell you anything negative! and secondly what are you gaining from knowing that you’re actually a purple crayon!?
If only Facebook would return to a more simple format where users could share information, images and videos. It would be such a pleasure to use again without having to know “What horror film” an old school girlfriend now is.
