I’m inquisitive about how people’s minds work. Sometimes I’m impressed at original thought and ideas. Most people, I think, go through life copying what they perceive as a “successful model” - whether that be in business or life in general and probably get along very nicely for the majority of the time. Some, I think the minority, are in a perplexing mindset though. They are the type of people who join cults and are easily manipulated for whatever purposes or hidden agendas those at the “top” are pursuing. Often those people are fooled by false smiles and continued brain washing. Eventually they succomb because it is easier to simply agree with the persons forever in your ear than…. God forbid! lose their attention entirely when they realise you’re too tough a nut to crack.
I’m not referring to any one person in this post. If you check your Facebook “friends” list you’ll probably be able to pick out a good selection of people who fit the profile of the above. I could easily rant at various people and their associates but I don’t see the point any more. People will “follow” and socialise with who they are comfortable with, because they will tell them what they want to hear, rather than risk being an “out-cast” and there is little I can do or say that will show those people just how wrong it is to live your life in that way.
Wow, what a deep post! On a lighter note; Christmas is coming up and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s about time we all started enjoying the good things more and celebrated the success of friends and family. I can’t wait to spend more time with the friends I like and family I love.
